Response and Action Plan to Media Alert on Tuberculosis

In response to recent concerns over the possibility of tuberculosis in the homeless community, we at the Clara White Mission want to assure our friends, partners and volunteers that we continuously strive to maintain a healthy environment. Health and well-being has always been a priority at our facility.

Our own, Ken Covington, is the new chair of the Duval TB Coalition, allowing Clara White to play a key role in education, awareness and prevention. In partnership with the Center for Disease Control and the Duval County Health Department, we are committed to screening and educating our staff, students and residents on a regular basis.

Any questions or concerns please contact us at 904-354-4162. For more info please visit the Center for Disease Control at http://www.cdc.gov/tb/ or Duval County Health Dept. at http://www.doh.state.fl.us.

Sincerely,
